Water Watch Imposed
Due to the Water Plant operating at or above 75% of its pumping capacity, a “Water Watch” has been imposed per Chapter 93-Water Conservation. While under a “Water Watch,” all customers of the City water supply are encouraged to limit or curtail all nonessential uses of water in order to conserve precious water resources during the time of shortage. We ask that you please comply with the following voluntary standards:
- No watering of lawns, shrubs, or gardens between the hours of eight o’clock (8:00) a.m. and eight o’clock (8:00) p.m.
- No water should be used to fill private swimming pools, children’s wading pools, reflecting pools, or any other outdoor pool or pond.
- No water should be used to wash streets parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, or building exteriors.
- No water should be used for non-essential cleaning of commercial and industrial equipment, machinery, and interior spaces.
Your cooperation with the “Water Watch” is appreciated.
